Receptor/wall joint details can differ from project to project depending on the receptor type (flange/no flange) and shower wall construction method. Another influencing factor in joint seal design is the joint sealing material’s integration and compatibility with liquid and sheet applied shower wall waterproofing membranes. FlangeBand TileBud addresses these factors.

TileBud presents the Sealux strip and foam backer rod as separate components enabling installers to accommodate all joint detail types with one strip, as the instruction sheets, images and videos below highlight.

The TileBud Kit is suitable for installation over tubs and shower bases with tile flanges: and those without tile flanges where the backer foam is not being installed.

The Sealux strip is available in lengths between 78 and 150 inches. Installation accessories include 2 alcohol surface wipes, a strip alignment card and multipurpose sealant spatula. Sealux-N silicone may be supplied upon request.

The TileBud Plus Kit includes a foam backer material making it suitable for installation during or after the installation of a shower base or bathtub with or without a tile flange attached.

The Sealux strip and foam backer rod are available in lengths between 78 and 150 inches. Installation accessories include 2 alcohol surface wipes, strip alignment guides, a backer rod insertion wheel and a multi-purpose sealant spatula.

Sealux-N silicone is not supplied in the kit but can be included in the box upon request.

The TileBud Trade Roll is 164 feet (50 mtrs.) long and targeted at repeat installers and retailers looking to reduce the strip cost and minimise installation waste. The Foam Backer Trade Roll is an adhesive backed foam 1/4″ (6mm) thick, 1/2″ (12mm) wide and 984 feet (300 mtrs.) long. Sealux-N Silicone is the only silicone tested and approved by Sealux for installation with the range of Sealux shower base and bathtub joint sealing systems detailed on sealux.com. Other equivalent and approved silicones may perform equally well.
